Second, one statement piece or a growing village? LEGO's Winter Village Collection is a run of snowy buildings and scenes designed to sit side by side. The Holiday Express Train, Holiday Main Street, the Elf Club House and the Gingerbread House all belong to it. Third, current set or collector's set? The Holiday Express Train and Home Alone were sold by Amazon.com at their LEGO US prices when checked. The other three are no longer made, so the listings on Amazon come from third-party sellers, and two of them showed only one left in stock. The Holiday Express Train is the easiest LEGO Christmas gift to get right this year. It is the 2025 set in the Winter Village Collection, and it was sold by Amazon.com at $129.99 when checked, the same as LEGO's US price. 1 2
In the box are 956 pieces for a locomotive, a coal tender, a flatcar carrying a bell-ringing polar bear, an end car with a furnished interior, a small platform with a bench and lamppost, and four minifigures. The 16-piece circular track is the clever part: the finished train can sit on a sideboard as a display, or the loop can go down around the foot of the tree. Push the train and the smokestack bobs and the polar bear rings its bell. 1
LEGO also designed it to be motorized. Adding the separately sold LEGO Powered Up kit lets the locomotive run around the track on its own. The set comes with two sets of printed instructions so two people can build it together, which suits a Christmas Eve or Boxing Day build. 1
The finished train is over 5 inches high and 19.5 inches long, so it needs a clear run of shelf or floor. It is marked 18 and up. 1

LEGO Ideas Home Alone 21330
A grown-up fan of the film who wants a long build and a model that tells a Christmas story.
LEGO Ideas Home Alone is the biggest set here by a wide margin, at 3,955 pieces split into 24 bags. LEGO arranged the building order to follow the film's plot, so the build itself retells the story. It was sold by Amazon.com at $299.99, LEGO's US price. 3 4
The red-brick McCallister house has walls and a roof that open up, with the treehouse and the crooks' van alongside. The five minifigures are Kevin McCallister, Kate McCallister, Harry, Marv and "Old Man" Marley. The fun is in the traps: swinging paint cans, a basement furnace lit by a LEGO light brick, and a lever that sends Kevin down the stairs on his sledge. 3
This is a centerpiece rather than part of a row. It needs a deep sideboard, a console table or a shelf of its own, and it will take several evenings to build. The age mark is 18 and up. A battery for the light brick is included. 3

Holiday Main Street gives the most village in one box. Its 1,514 pieces make two shops, a toy store and a music store, with the store owners' apartments, plus a Christmas-decorated streetcar with four passenger seats. Six minifigures include two shoppers, a child mailing a letter to Santa, the two store owners and the streetcar driver. 5
It reads well from the front. In the listing photos a brick music store and an olive-green toy store, both with snowy roofs, are trimmed with garland, the cream-and-red streetcar wears a wreath, and a lamppost clock and decorated tree finish the scene. Inside there are small details to find, such as a tree, presents and a bed in the toy store and a dining area in the music store. 5

The Elf Club House is the most whimsical set here. The 1,197-piece house hides a waffle machine, a triple-decker bed with a glowing light that shakes to wake the elves, and a chimney you can move. Out front, a sleigh and reindeer park in the "sleighport". 7

The Gingerbread House is the one LEGO set here that looks like Christmas baking. The 1,477-piece model has frosted roofs, candy buttons, candy-cane columns, glittery windows and a tall chimney with a fireplace that glows. The residents are gingerbread figures, a man, a woman and a baby, with candy furniture, a rocking horse, a toy train and a decorated tree. 9
